Initial brief
You send an email explaining the issue, which gear you’re using and, if possible, some photos or a short video from the set.
DRK LAB · Engineering for film crews
Tell me what you need and I’ll reply with a concrete proposal: part, timings and budget. DRK LAB mainly works on-demand for rentals, production companies and technicians.
If you have a very specific problem on set, it can probably be turned into a part or system that makes your life easier.
The idea is to move fast but stay technical. Always with real-world testing, not just pretty 3D renders.

I propose a part or system, we iterate as needed and validate that it fits and survives day-to-day use.
Once validated, the final parts are produced in technical materials and we agree on quantities, lead times and shipping.
Before you write
If you already know which cameras, lenses, monitors or lights you’re using, include that in the email. The more specific the context, the easier it is to propose a useful solution on the first try.
